Shirk done by people in some acts of Ibadah

Shirk done by people in some  acts of Ibadah
Chapter 1 - Duaa

1:Duaa is Ibadah
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Supplication (du'a') is itself worship”
(NARRATED BY AN-NU'MAN IBN BASHIR (R.A.) AND BARA (R.A.) AND RECORDED IN SUNAN ABU DAWOOD 575[1], HAAKIM, MUSNAD AHMED AND SAHEEH AL JAAMI 3407)

2: Allah is close, the one who hears and answers (the supplication)
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Baqara 2:186
“And when my servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning me indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.”

3:The command to do Du’aa and the promise to accept it
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al-Mu’min 40:60
And your Lord says, "Call upon Me[2] ; I will respond to you."

4:Do not do call on the dead
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah An Nahl 16:20-21
“And those they invoke other than Allāh create nothing, and they [themselves] are created.
They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.”

5:Those who call other than Allah have gone astray and have associated partners with Allah
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Ahqaf 46:5-6
“And who is more astray than the one who invokes besides Allāh those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware. And when mankind is gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will become enemies to them, and they will reject their worship (altogether)!”

6:The Mushriks used to call on Allah when they were in difficulties
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Ankabut 29:65
“And when they board a ship, they supplicate to Allāh, making their religion sincerely (and exclusively) to Him. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him.”

Chapter 2: To sacrifice an animal

1: When eating food on which the name of other than Allah has been taken is Haraam (forbidden) then doing that action is more Haraam (forbidden)

Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Baqara 2:173
“He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allāh.”
2:The prohibition of eating that on which the name of Allah has not been taken

Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Anam 6:121
“And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allāh has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience.”

3:It is compulsory that sacrifice should be only for Allah

Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Kauthar 108:2
“So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].”

Allah says in the Quran in Anam 6:162
Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my life and my death are for Allāh, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. And this I have been commanded and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."

4:The sin of the one who sacrifices for other than Allah
“Allah has cursed the one who sacrificed for anyone besides Allah”
(NARRATED BY ALI IBN ABI TALIB, RECORDED IN SAHIH MUSLIM 921[3], MUSNAD AHMED, SUNAN NASAI, SAHEEH AL JAAMI 5112)
5: No sacrifice will be done in any such place where there is an idol or which is a place of celebration of the Non-Muslims

Narrated Thabit ibn ad-Dahhak:
“In the time of the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) a man took a vow to slaughter a camel at Buwanah. So he came to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and said: I have taken a vow to sacrifice a camel at Buwanah.
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) asked: Did the place contain any idol worshipped in pre-Islamic times?
They (the people) said: No.
He asked: Was any pre-Islamic festival observed there?
They replied: No.
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Fulfil your vow, for a vow to do an act of disobedience to Allah must not be fulfilled, neither must one do something over which a human being is not able to do.”
[RECORDED IN SUNAN ABU DAWOOD 3307AUTHENTICATED IN SAHEEH ABU DAWOOD  2834]

Chapter 3: Vows
1:An Nazr  (Taking Vows) is worship since Allah has commanded to fulfill them
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah al Hajj 22:2
“and (let them) fulfill their vows”

2:The Vow should be only for Allah
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al-i’Imran 3:35
“(Remember) when the wife of 'Imran said: "O my Lord! I have vowed to You what (the child that) is in my womb to be dedicated for Your services, so accept this, from me. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knowing.”

3: The vow in which the pleasure of other than Allah is sought should not be fulfilled
“There should be no vow except for that by which the pleasure of Allah   is sought”
(NARRATED BY ABDULLAH IBN AMR BIN AL AAS, RECORDED IN SUNAN ABU DAWOOD, SAHEEH AL JAAMI 7522)

Chapter 4: Sajdah and Ruku (Prostration and bowing)

1:Prostration and bowing are acts of worship (Ibadah)
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Hajj 22:77

“O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.”

2:(Sajdah) Prostration should not be done to the Creation
Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Al Fussilat 41:37
"And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship.”

3:Do not prostrate to any mankind neither any  messenger nor any wali
Abdullah bin Abu Awfa narrates: “When Muadh ibn Jabal returned from Sham[4], he prostrated before the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “O Muadh! What is this?”
Muadh replied, “When I went to Sham, I found them prostrating before their priests and holy persons. I had the desire in my soul that we should do this before you.”
The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Don’t do that, for if I had ordered anyone to prostrate before other than Allah, I would have ordered women to prostrate before their husbands.”
[RECORDED BY IBN MAJAH, AUTHENTICATED BY ALBANI IN SAHEEH IBN MAJA 1503, SAHEEHAH 1203]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said,
“It is not correct for any human being to prostrate (i.e. do sajdah) before another. If it was correct for any human to prostrate before another I would have commanded women to prostrate before their husbands due to the great right they have over them.”
[REPORTED BY ANAS (RA) AND RECORDED IN AHMED, NASAI, AUTHENTICATED IN SAHEEH AL JAAMI 7725]
